In the Grand Hall of the City Assembly of Belgrade on 08 May 2018 The Embassy of Israel in the Republic of Serbia organized a celebration marking the 70th anniversary of the independence of the State of Israel.
\nAfter the choir performance of the national anthems of Israel and the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Ambassador Mrs. Alona Fisher Kam addressed the guests and in her speech highlighted today’s rich political, economic and cultural ties between the Republic of Serbia and the State of Israel, and pointed out that there are dozens of Israeli companies operating in the Republic of Serbia. She also referred to the many achievements of Israel in various fields such as agriculture, agro technology, water management, medicine, IT sector and cyber security.<\/p>\n

As a part of the ceremony, exhibits with interesting historical photographs as well as two stands with traditional Israeli food were displayed in the neighboring hall, and as a special treat, refreshing orange juice produced in Israel was served.
\nThe ceremony was attended by numerous officials, including Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs Mr. Zoran Djordjevi\u0107, Manager of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Mr. Marko Djuri\u0107, Minister for Environment protection, Mr. Goran Trivan, Manager of the city of Belgrade, Mr. Goran Vesi\u0107, Ambassador of the Russian Fedreation, H.E. Mr. Alexander Chepurin, Ambassador of Germany H.E. Mr. Aksel Ditman, Ambassador of France H.E. Mr. Frederik Mondolini as well as many other guests from political and public life of Serbia.<\/p>\n
