Serbian Diplomacy Day

Today is the Day of Serbian Diplomacy. This holiday is established in memory of May 29, 1839, when the first Office of Foreign Affairs was established in the Principality of Serbia. It is considered as the beginning of professional diplomacy in our country.

At that time, Serbia had only a few representations in our region, the Ottoman Empire, Russia and Australia. Today it has over 100 diplomatic and consular missions on all continents.

We congratulate the holiday to people of Serbia and all Serbian diplomats who represent our country in the world and make Serbia a respected state and an important factor in international politics today.
