Political relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Kazakhstan are traditionally good and friendly, with no open questions. In the last few years, the political dialogue between the two countries has significantly intensified. There is a mutually expressed interest in its promotion at the highest level, as well as in the development of bilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on trade and economic relations.
Kazakhstan is the last Soviet republic that declared independence on December 16, 1991, leading a moderate foreign policy and developing the economy, especially the chemical industry.
The ethnonym Kazakh is derived from a Turkish word meaning independence and freedom of spirit. It has its roots in the Kazakh culture, in which horses play a big role, so it is connected with the term Cossack. The Old Persian word -stan means land or place, so Kazakhstan translates as “the land of the Kazakhs”.
It is located on two continents – Europe and Asia, the capital is Nur-Sultan, which until 2019 was called Astana.
This Central Asian country is rich in numerous sights, both natural and man-made.
From 1998 until today, billions of dollars have been invested to make Nur-Sultan as architecturally impressive as possible. Baiterek Tower – a futuristic building almost 100 meters high that is often compared to a giant lollipop, as well as the Duman entertainment complex – stand out.
