On November 30, 2022, in the presence of numerous guests from the world of diplomacy, politics, economy, culture and sports, Property management and rental company Dipos celebrated a significant anniversary – 60 years of business and 60 years of the Diplomatic Colony in Dedinje.

Founded in 1962 as a state-owned enterprise for the management and maintenance of real estate owned by the Republic of Serbia, with the aim of providing diplomatic and consular missions in the Republic of Serbia and their staff with a comfortable and safe space for living and working, “Dipos” has persistently worked on strengthening bilateral relations of the state of Serbia and thereby contributed to building a solid partnership with almost the entire diplomatic community in Belgrade.

“It gives me great pleasure to attend tonight’s celebration of 60 years of existence on the one hand of an urban settlement in Belgrade, and on the other hand of a state-owned enterprise that shares a part of our country’s history.” Dipos was created together with the famous conference of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries held in Belgrade. Those first small houses that were built at that time, for the diplomats, who were preparing the big conference from all over the world, so they would have a place to stay, now form a wonderful settlement. Dipos is a company that takes care of a large number of representative buildings in Belgrade. We can only wish the director and the employees all the best and that they continue to preserve part of the cultural heritage of our country,” said Maja Gojkovic, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Culture.

Addressing the audience, the director of Dipos, Djoko Krivokapic, pointed out that “Dipos” is proud of its 60-year history of business, tradition and established reputation as a profitable state-owned enterprise that does not use funds from the budget of the Republic of Serbia, but is financed from its own revenues acting on the free market, and which pays the business profit into the budget at the end of each year.

“The Republic of Serbia has entrusted us with the management and maintenance of a portfolio of over 300 properties in the most beautiful locations in Belgrade, which have been used for decades to accommodate the needs of the diplomatic and international business community. The key to the success of this company, what completely sets it apart from the competition and makes it additionally unique, is the set of services it provides, which significantly contributes to the quality of life and work of tenants entrusted with real estate, then the unique real estate fund at its disposal, as well as the fact that “Dipos” hosted hundreds of diplomatic representatives from all over the world, accredited in the Republic of Serbia,” said Krivokapic. He stated that “Dipos”, applying modern business trends in its work, achieved a 97% percentage of rented real estate, and a 92% collection of receivables, and that through investments in the maintenance of hundreds of state properties, it multiplies their value. Krivokapic expressed his special gratitude to the founder of the company, the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as well as to everyone who contributed to Dipos growing into a credible partner and a successful state-owned enterprise.

During the ceremony, special certificates of appreciation were presented to representatives of the embassies of the United States of Mexico, the Kingdom of Denmark and the United States of America, with whom the Company has had the longest and most continuous business cooperation in the past 60 years.

“Understanding and respecting the specific needs of an Embassy is essential in order to have a functional and high-quality representation that shows the true image of Mexico in Serbia.” “Dipos” has the will and understanding to carry out administrative processes that are typical only for diplomatic missions. Finally, and equally important, is the service to the clients, which the embassy receives from “Dipos” during the maintenance and adaptation of the premises, always in a timely manner and with the best finish, as well as within the best possible deadlines.

In short, for the Embassy of Mexico, cooperation with the company “Dipos” is essential for fulfilling our diplomatic functions in Serbia, for which we are very grateful,” said the Ambassador of the United Mexican States in the Republic of Serbia, NJ. E. Carlos Isauro Felix Corona.
