The Olympic Games in Japan, which will be held next year, were the reason for our visit to the Olympic Committee of Serbia, which has been our tenant for many years. The president of this organization, the legendary basketball coach Bozidar Boza Maljkovic, introduced us to the work of the Olympic Committee in the international framework and preparations for the upcoming sports event.
“The Olympic Committee has been engaged in building our sports capacities for a long time now. We aim to provide the best coaches for each sports federation, depending on their needs. In some sports we cannot compete with strong countries, but where there is a possibility, we want to improve our chances of success, bring in the best coaches and improve the work of the federations in accordance with their needs. We are working as if the Olympic Games were to be held tomorrow!“ Mr. Maljkovic stated.
Speaking about the plans and the achieved successes, Mr. Maljković referred to the extraordinary cooperation achieved with Dipos and on that occasion pointed out:
“The space we used was in a very poor condition. There was no maintenance since the Non-Aligned Conference, when Gaddafi was in this building. My first task was to work on this issue. Thanks to the engagement of Mr. Krivokapic, today this is a very decent and nice working environment. Providing such premises is also the biggest award we have received, something that no one has done for us so far. I am extremely proud of my friendship with him and of this refurbished building. “
